FORT IRWIN JOB FAIR: There will be a Fort Irwin Job Fair on Thursday, September 26, 2013 from 10:00 AM- 1:00 PM located in the Sandy Basin Community Center. The Rodeo is not actually on the base, but just outside. Follow the signs once you get off on Ghost Town Road. Tickets are $10. BARSTOW OUTREACH GRAND RE-OPENING: The "Grand Re-Opening" of the Barstow Outreach Center will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 28, 2013. The Outreach Center is located at 512 Barstow Road Barstow, Ca 92311. The building will be state of art and will welcome not just active duty Soldiers and veterans, but also the Gold Star and Blue Star Families. Please come early to be a part of this great event. All are welcome to attend. --NEXT WEEK-- BULK FUEL YEAR END CLOSEOUT: The Bulk Fuel BLDG 7701, Retail Fuel BLDG 950 and Bicycle Lake Bulk Fuel Facility will be closed temporary on 30 SEP 13 from 1200-1300hrs for Year End Closeout. Normal hours of operation will resume at 1300hrs. Please contact the Bulk Fuel Facility @ 760-380-3626/7009 with any questions or concerns. --NEXT MONTH-- PARENT TO PARENT WORKSHOP: Parent to Parent will be hosting an event called College Application Bootcamp on October 7, 2013 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fort Irwin Education Center. This workshop will be geared to high school students and their parents and will help them prepare to navigate the college application process. Any military-connected parents and students are welcome to attend, regardless of where they live or which branch of service they are in. They simply have to RSVP and be able to come to the Fort Irwin Education Center on October 7th.
