PHOTO INDEPENDENT FAIR Raleigh Studios, Hollywood 5300 Melrose Ave., Hollywood, CA 90038 FRI - SAT - SUN Opening Night Premiere: Friday, April 25, 7-10pm PHOTO INDEPENDENT, launching April 24-27 at Raleigh Studios in Hollywood, CA is the first and only high-visibility platform for independent photographers. An artist-only fair, PHOTO INDEPENDENT is a forum for direct exchange of ideas and contact between photographic artists, collectors and art professionals. The inaugural edition of the art fair will also feature specialized programs including panel discussions, lectures, roundtables, and docent tours. Special exhibits include Mysterious Barricades, a solo exhibit by musician Andy Summers of The Police. Coagula Curatorial is pleased to present a booth co-curated by Lisa Derrick and Eric Minh Swenson, with new photographic work by 6 Los Angeles photographers: Robert Adler, Steve Diet Goedde, Ed Fox, Eric Kroll, Victor Lightworship, Dave Naz Photo Independent was developed to fill a void in the art fair marketplace, states Chris Davies, President of Fabrik Media, and Founder of PHOTO INDEPENDENT. Extremely talented photographers were being under-represented within the conventional art fair structure. PHOTO INDEPENDENT provides a valuable platformfor these photographers, who dont normally have the opportunity to exhibit within a traditional art fair context. We are proud to be launching the first endeavor of this kind in Los Angeles, a city with a passionate and highly active creative photography community.
