THIS Z 4 U THE TERRORISTS... The Bible was written over a period of 1,500 years from Moses, the first writer to that last, John the prophet, of Revelation. The original text of the Bible still exists. Educated people think in straight lines giving respect to historical facts and events. The Koran is so jumbled up that you cannot make historical sense out of its text. It also has misinformation on many Biblical characters such as the Pharaoh, Abraham, Noah, Moses and many others. The Jesus of the Koran differs from the Biblical one. The Dead Sea Scrolls, which are the original documents and manuscripts have all been safely kept and are dated from 1,500BC to 100AD. The earliest copies of the Bible, also called Codexes are three in: Sinaiticus, Vaticanus and Alexandrianus. They are dated 330AD, 340AD and 425AD respectively. The subsequent texts from the Latin Vulgate of 400AD to the New Revised Standard Bible of 1990 are all available for scholarly reference. The Koran on the contrary is said to have been written by one man, Muhammad who at one time was called the unlettered prophet. Unlettered means uneducated. If Muslims claim that the prophet of Islam was prophesied about in the Bible, then that is a matter of theological interpretation. But even then, the prophet has to exist within the confines of the Bible which they claim prophesies about him. Furthermore, does any Muslim have a copy of the Bible which was not altered that prophesises about Mohammed? If t hey have a copy of the unaltered Bible, they would do the world a favour, by making it available, even at a fee. In reply to the Islamic teaching that Jesus was only sent to the Israelites and that his mission ended : That teaching is also wrong. If it were true, even Muhammads era would have come to an end. I can name more than five prophets in the Koran who came after Muhammad. Prophet Hud in Surat Al-Aa raf 7:65-72, or Prophet Zul-Qarnain in Surat Al-Kahf 18:83-88, Prophet Zar ibn Kaab in Surat Al- Furqan 25:38, Prophet Luqman in Surat Al-Luqman 31:1-15 and Prophet Shuaib in Surat Al-Shuarah 26:176-190. These are listed in the Koran and obviously came after Muhammad. With the same argument, even Muhammad is obsolete. The Biblical position about Jesus universal ministry is in dispute only to Muslims. To the question: What makes Christians deny that Muhammad is a prophet of God? Muhammad is fully accepted by Christians as a prophet of Islam and their deity, Allah. The difference and indeed the Christian position is, that the true God is Jehovah not Allah. Allah is not in dispute as god of the Arabs. Prophet Muhammad is clearly Rasul Allah — Allahs prophet! It has to be understood that the Muslims have their own religion, beliefs, rituals, heaven and indeed their own god. The worshippers of Baal had 400 prophets and Ashtarosh had 450. Muhammad being the prophet of another god is not a problem. The God of the Bible is a totally different deity. The stark naked truth is Islam and Christianity are totally different religions. Unity of the two faiths is impossible, but co-existence is acceptable. The Bible and the Koran are two competing books. What are the major differences between the Koran and the Bible? -Before Islam and the Koran, the Bible was already in existence. -The Bible talks of Jerusalem as the Holy City, the Koran says it is Mecca. -Jehovah is the God of the Bible while Allah is the Koranic god. -The message of the Bible is love and forgiveness, yet retribution forms the central message of the Koran. -The Biblical God has a son while the god of the Koran begets not. -The Jesus of the Bible died on the cross, but the Koran claims He is still alive. -The Bible presents Isaac as the covenant son of Abraham and the Koran says he is Ishmail, out of whom Arabs came. -Christians believe in the atonement work of Jesus on the cross. The Koran disputes Jesus death and resurrection. -Christianity is a spiritual force. Islam is a secular faith. Why we believe the Bible, rather than the Koran, is Gods word I have read the Bible and found it to be authentic. I have extensively read both books and done many years of rigorous theological and historical research. Bible writers like John and James who give us an account of the life and mission of Jesus on earth are those who touched, saw, walked with, directly heard from and lived with him. I find their account of Jesus life more authoritative than the writers of the Koran who never even caught a glimpse of Jesus. 1 John 1:1-4, says: “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched — this we proclaim concerning the word of life. The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and his son, Jesus Christ. We write this to make our joy complete.” 2 Peter 1:16 says: “We did not follow cleverly invented stories when we told you about the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.” If anything is mere religion and there are no tangible results, it is empty. Christ is a life-changer. Testimonies abound from Paul the Apostle to us today. Isnt that proof enough?
