THIS ticks me off. The law in Canada doesnt allow children who are victims of crime to be identified. Also, children in care are not allowed to be identified to protect the child. Parents who talk about their case or name their child once the child is in care can be subject to fines or even jail time. Thats why this mother and other mothers of murdered children are the only ones who have been able to come forward. If a persons children are only hurt, their parents are not able to go to the media, post on social sites, or name their children in any way, because CAS is protected by law. They dont have to give any reason to take kids away from their parents either. And there is no ombudsman over them. In Ontario, theyre a private corporation. The same law also protects pedophiles and lets them get away with hurting children. The pedophile cannot be publicly identified because it would identify the child. msn/en-ca/news/canada/%E2%80%98i-died-that-day%E2%80%99-mother-engulfed-in-grief-over-baby%E2%80%99s-death/ar-BBhuhRE?ocid=mailsignout
