THOUGHTS FOR THURSDAY: Im absolutely not knocking on competition by sharing this post, but I feel it gives some great food for thought and is written in a somewhat open-minded way. It can sometimes be tough to find riders that put the horse first in competition BUT many of the top competitors that I know in many disciplines do just that... And their horses are able to shine and rise to the top because of it. Oftentimes, I think of the bad side of the show horse world as the human competition condition, where jealousy, greed, and lack of preparation cause the human to cut corners at the sake of the horse. Comment if you like, but please be polite, and understand that rudeness and bashing will never be permitted on my page. This has been shared mostly to promote thought about horsemanship for Thursday.
