I have grown up in a musical family and one can trace a rich musical lineage in my family starting from my Grandfather, who opened a musical shop during the colonial era in India; which was later taken over by my father Mr. Malin Adhikary. Since my early childhood days I would visit the musical shop and was enamoured by the musical instruments specially the piano. After I completed my schooling, I was drawn towards the world of music. I started playing the guitar at the age of 16, practising 8 hours a day. I was blessed to have one of the most talented teachers in Calcutta Mr Karlton Keateau, under whose guidance and encouragement I learnt western Jazz music.
