THREATS OF WAR ARE REAL: As the February General election nears, - TopicsExpress

THREATS OF WAR ARE REAL: As the February General election nears, and with stakes the way they are, I ask myself a question, If I am Shekau, what will I do? It didnt take long to arrive at the answer. Send about a hundred men into Gen Buharis campaign team in each Northern state and help to fuel anti-Jonathan sentiments. Raise Northern youths rejection of GEJ and mobilize more potential aggressors as the campaign heats up. After election, and if Jonathan is declared winner, whether fairly or not, move Northern youths to attack Eastern properties and interests on the streets and spill more blood here and there. And Buhari looses, send men to attack security and civil targets in the south and bomb oil installations. The Army and police will invariably intervene. Smuggle in into the crowd his well-armed men and confront the security operatives in all the affected Northern states, using the un-armed youths as human shields. Attack military posts and barracks. Raise flags and attack more military positions. With situations like this what do you thinks the Eastern flank will be doing? They will fold their hands and watch theirs shops and business interests destroyed and looted? Well, your guess is good as mine. From the above seemingly advocate of war, I strongly support those who have joined my call for the suspension of this election either in parts or in whole. The difference may therefore be for the reason for the opinions. Mine is simple. Nigeria needs to be re-negotiated without lets or hinderances. Nigerians must face the truth about the one-ness of the country. Lets stop hiding from it. If today frightening tension still abound concerning elections into federal seats, in was the same in the 2011 general election, and already a very brutal group is laying claim and occupying sections of the territory, declaring Caliphate and raising flag, while down South many groups are aligning, mobilizing and arming for a showdown, its only a deaf that will not be alarmed. In the news shortly is that of the convergence of the Niger Delta ex-militants threatening war. While that is roaring, pro-Biafran agitators are also threatening fire and brinestone. In reacting to some comments about the news from Niger Delta to a voice that said they need chang, I said The only change Nigerians need now is the change that guarantees peace, equal right, justice and sanctity of life. And these will come when Nigerians, individually and collectively begin to recognize peoples rights to self-determination. You cannot be subjugating your fellow human beings to unsolicited untold slavery and deprivation while shouting for change from present to the past. We have experienced Buharis leadership pattern as a dictator and also Jonathans leadership pattern of indivicibility of Nigeria. Non of them means better future for Nigeria. Nigerians do not need a dictator as a leader nor do they need forced One Nigeria advocate as a leader. Head or Tail, whether from South or North, there are rumours of war. What good and reasonable people can rise up for today, is for the application of right to self-determination as enshrined in the UN and AU charter of human right. Anything out side that, war looms. Either now or tomorrow. Its inevitable. Nigeria may once again suppress the agitators now, but for how long? The truth is that Nigeria is at the keg of gun-powder, and only selfish Nigerian politicians and insincere Nigerians that will not agree. Whosoever wants to help stop this impending crisis should start now. From far-away US, Nigerian issue is to be discussed, captioned, Nigeria on the brink. Let Nigeria national Assembly also start discussions like this. Let civil societies also join hands and voices to view these threats to war. Any move to continue this election regardless of how bloody it may be is absolutely unacceptable to me.
