THREE PIZZA SHOPS SHOT AT, IN MELBOURNES NORTH-WEST, COULD BE LINKED, POLICE BELIEVE: ectives from the Armed Crime Taskforce are investigating a series of linked shootings at three pizza restaurants last night across Melbournes north-west. Police were called to Nicholson Street North Fitzroy shortly after 11pm after shots were fired into the side window of a restaurant. Half an hour later, police were called to another restaurant under construction in Napier Street, Essendon, where shots had also been fired into the vacant building. A third restaurant was also stuck overnight on Lygon Street Brunswick East. All restaurants were closed at the time and no one was injured. Detectives are investigating and believe the incidents may be linked.
