THRIVE MOMS FALL RETREAT NOVEMBER 8, 2014 9:30AM - 2:00PM The battle is real. It’s in our communities, our homes, and our hearts. It’s everywhere around us. As mothers, we are we down in the trenches and fighting on the frontlines--facing our enemy head on. We are fighting for our families, for our marriages, and for the hearts of our children. But the good news is that God has given us every necessary weapon to fight each battle, and we never step onto the battlefield alone. He goes before us and is with us every step of the way. The world may tell us that we are weak, alone, and not cut out for this. But God looks past appearances to the heart. The most powerful truth is hidden underneath the mom uniform. Deep inside each one of us is a fierce warrior. That’s right. YOU. Even at 6am on a Thursday morning, bleary eyed with a fist full of coffee. You are a warrior. You are strong, because Christ’s strength is made perfect in your weaknesses. You are brave, because the power of the Holy Spirit fills your very being. And you are wise, because you have been given the very mind of Christ. As warriors under the King’s command, we rise every morning with a complete armor set before us. All we have to do is put it on. We don’t have to concede to defeat. We can rise up victorious because Christ has already won every battle on our behalf.
