THUNDERY ISOLATED HEAVY SHOWERS (Inland areas – near the foothills North Cant/Kaikoura) Good afternoon. We have some convection activity occurring about inland areas. This afternoon there is the possibility of heavy showers, hail and thunder. The highest risk is about North Canterbury and the Kaikoura district. Heavy showers and thunder will clear later this evening. Further south we should see sunny spells with dying southerlies. Monday and Tuesday still look superb, with mainly sunny skies and warm temperatures.
