THURSDAY, 6TH MARCH 2014 KEEP GROWING “Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.” 2 COR 8:7 When I talk about spiritual growth for a Christian, I am talking about a complex of developments that involve different areas at once; the human body is an example as you grow every part of your complex nature experiences the same thing. This truly means that growing in faith is not all that there is. Neither is growing in knowledge all that there is. In fact for some people, they already have it all wrong as they think that increase in spiritual responsibility(church placement) is the same thing with spiritual growth(Christ placement). The bible teaches otherwise! Well, as you increase in faith, you should increase in utterance or in words and increase in knowledge as well. Then he says to increase in diligence. Oh boy, to increase in diligence means to increase in speed and accuracy with efficiency! It means to increase in eagerness as well. So one of the ways to tell whether or not you are growing is in the speed and eagerness with which you get involved with the things of God. Have you come to the place where the things of God are treated as a matter of urgency? That’s the place of maturity and the truth is the more matured you are in the spirit the more you can handle the issues of life with ease. STUDY: 2 Peter 3:18 BIBLE IN A YEAR: Psalms 137-139 PROCLAMATION: Thank you dear heavenly Father for the quick work you are doing in my life. I am growing and developing exceedingly in the things of God and I now handle the things of the kingdom with a greater sense of eagerness and responsibility. RHEMA DAILIES.
