THURSDAY TEMPO:By Julius Muthoni LIFE IS LIKE DRIVING Success in life is desirable. The source of your prosperity and success is hidden to many. A few knows what you will be and what you’re now. But the Lord Jesus knew who you’re, what you’re yet to be and how far you will be in the future. Never despise yourself from the look of who you’re now or what people say about you now because there is something more precious in you than what people say about you. Unfortunately, we always want to have this success today rather than tomorrow. We live in an instant society where there is instant chat, instant coffee and instant showers. We want things now. We want success today. Tomorrow is not good enough! Where do you lie? This has brought my attention to what happens around us all when walking along pavements on roads. It’s too normal but if you reflect on it, you will appreciate why things happen the way they do. Join me in the next few weeks as I share these insights of simple driving! A simple look at the act of driving will warn us against such instant pursuits. We all start driving from gear one then gear speed (for manual cars). The point here is that life, just like driving, has to start from lower gear. You should be ready to start small. Allow yourself to grow. You do not start from 100kph. You start from zero and slowly accelerate. Remember that every king was once a baby, every tree was once a seed, every company once an idea, every tall and great building once a blueprint . It’s also not important where you’re today but where you reach tomorrow. Always be positive and have every single plan for your future in God’s hands. Be humble enough to tread through the path of perseverance and patience toward success. It pays to wait for success is not a set mission but a discovery and an adventure. The road to success begins as a pathway and slowly opens to a highway. Start small and scale up for you to grow high in your race for success. Wishing you a blessed and accomplishing month of July.
