TIBETAN PARLIAMENT OFFERS CONDOLENCES TO CYCLONE HUDHUD VICTIMS. **************************************** By Phuntsok Yangchen DHARAMSHALA, October 16: Tibetan Parliament in Exile today expressed its condolences to people who have been affected by Cyclone Hudhud in coastal areas of India. In a letter to Naveen Ptanaik, Chief Minister of Odisha, Speaker Penpa Tsering expressed condolence “for the loss of lives and property caused by cyclone Hudhud. “The Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, on behalf of all the Tibetans, express] our deepest condolence for all those people who lost their lives in the dreadful Hudhud Cyclone. Our sincere sympathies for all those who have been affected and for all those families who have lost their dear ones,” wrote Tsering. TPiE in its letter also offered prayers for the victims and quick recovery of the affected areas. Tsering also added, “India is second home for all the Tibetans and has always bestowed their needful assistance on us; therefore, in times of such an unprecedented disaster, we relate to those victims as our own families and have deep sympathies for them.” On Sunday, cyclone Hudhud hit the Odisha and Andhra Pradesh coastline causing major destruction. Last year, Odisha was also hit by Cyclone Phailin.
