TIGER PRIDE GUY UPDATE: Since many of you are wondering, Tiger Pride Guy logged in today and had a notice waiting from Facebook. According to the note, friends of TPG reported the account because it didnt have a real persons name. FB threatened to delete the TPG account/photos if the name was not changed to a real name immediately. Therefore, my REAL name, Bob Tiger, has been put on the account 😁 This is very sad, because the apparent obsession for people to know who is behind the account (which is nothing but positive and helpful to our community) has seemed to have resulted in its possible demise and overshadowed TPGs cause, which is to unite namelessly. The name Bob Tiger will remain here until we figure out the next step. We are required by FB to wait 60 days to make another change. We want the community to continue to use and tag this account, because it has been the most effective and most reliable way BY FAR for the town and alumni to communicate over the past FIVE YEARS. We have lifted up students and athletes, prayed together, reminisced together, increased attendance at community events and spread positivity. Not sure why anyone would want that to stop. The way TPG was set up, as a friend account rather than as a page, has allowed news feeds to not be filtered by a page algorithm and has allowed you to tag photos of TPG and share your own news and be a participant in our community. That was the most effective way to do things, but we are being forced to change the game plan thanks to those reports made to FB. When TPG started almost five years ago, there was about zero community spirit. Weve come a long way, kids. For now, sit tight, keep tagging and promoting our kids and our community.
