TIMBER: The Oregon Department of Forestry has agreed to cancel more than two dozen timber sales on state forests because they threaten the survival of the marbled murrelet. If a judge accepts it, the settlement will cancel 26 timber sales on the Elliott, and one on the Tillamook State Forest. It modifies one each on the Tillamook and Clatsop state forests.
