TIME FOR A CHANGE… 7/16/13 Once you make up your mind there’s just no looking back. Jesus has become your all, now you’re on the straight and narrow path. All your sins forgiven, a new day’s dawn is just ahead. The person you were when you came in tonight, at the altar has been shed. The Bible means so much more, since you are now in the fold. Now longer setting around gathering dust, each day your spirit grows. The world looks so much brighter now that you’ve found this way. Ashamed of what you once were, you ask forgiveness from the Lord each day. It’s time for a change, once the Blessed Savior moves in. Satan will say, “It’s Okay, please don’t listen to them.” He’s always there to remind you of the things you once thought were fun. But now you’re on the narrow road, praying to God’s own Son. Trusting only in the Savior, listening to each word the Preacher says. That power within you starts to flow and now you know what victory is. Singers take the stage, you stand and clap your hands. Then it moves deep inside you and there you go shouting down the aisles again. Now you’re praying for a gift, the Lord has a work for you. Pray just as hard as you did before, and a spiritual gift will then come through. Maybe you’ll be called to help those who kneel before the altar each night. Maybe you will sing, or preach down the power, whatever it is, just shine your light. Just do whatever it is that brings you a blessing, that way you know it’s right. The Lord wants you to use you gift and shine His Holy Light. He would never bring you into the fold and then cast you aside. “Get to Work!” maybe something you say will bring some lost soul into this light. “Go tell it on the mountain, Jesus Christ is born.” Forget the person you once were stand up and blow your horn. It’s always a time for a change when what you are doing is causing you to fall from grace. Get out and declare that the old you is no longer there, I’ll see you at the end of this race. “I Love Jesus and that’s a Fact!” Fred Parks
