TIME TO DECLARE WAR OR A TIME TO NOT DECLARE WAR? I have been - TopicsExpress

TIME TO DECLARE WAR OR A TIME TO NOT DECLARE WAR? I have been against war in the middle east, but now our homeland and security is threatened. Now, I think Congress should declare war on all those in the middle east who want to kill us. A well known piece of literature says there is: A Time for Everything 3 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: 2 a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, 3 a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, 4 a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, 5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, 6 a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, 7 a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, past and 8 a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace. 9 What do workers gain from their toil? 10 I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race. 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet[a] no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. In my opinion it is a TIME for Congress to do its job instead of passing the buck to the present and future presidents. Our Constitution says that only Congress can declare war. In the last 65 years Congress has failed miserably to uphold the Constitution. Each Congress person is paid about $180, 000 per year (and have perks that many of us wold love to have) but get a poor grade in over all performance except campaigning to be re elected. The Congress does not want to make the hard decisions, that is, follow the Constitution which says that ONLY the representatives of We the People can declare war. Most notably, Congress has allowed presidents to wage war without the consent of We the People. This resulted in unnecessary wars, deaths and riots in the street during the Vietnam War. All wars since WWII have ended defeat or in our tucking tail and running because politicians ran the war. If we had really turned our military a loose we could have destroyed the war machine and materials in Vietnam in a month of bombing. Now Obamas bombing of ISIS in Iraq, radical Islamist (ISIS), is again violating the Constitution. But what is the and house and senate doing except finger pointing. The Congress should define what is war and what it not war. Obviously, when any presidents rain down missiles from a drown or ship. this is war. Because there are no boots on the ground should not allow a president to say it is not war. In case of no time for debate, Congress can also authorize the Congressional leaders and the President (in agreement) to wage war, if missiles are on the way. IT IS TIME FOR CONGRESS TO ACT, WAR OR NOT. VOTE THEM OUT IF THEY DO NOT FOLLOW THE U. S. CONSTITUTION!
