TIMELINE of the storm event for most of Central and Southern Lower Michigan. The Storm Prediction Center has the majority of us in a SLIGHT RISK for severe thunderstorm for both this afternoon and evening. The primary threat will be damaging winds to 75 mph, medium to large hail up to 2 to 2.5 inches in diameter possible, and very heavy rainfall up to 2 inches or greater in the strongest cells, yes, possible sudden flash flooding is apparent. I cant rule out a brief spin up tornado, however, the greater threat is well to our Southwest in Missouri and West Central Illinois. I am not even that concern for tornadoes. It is the majority of damaging winds, hail, and heavy rain that concerns me. EVERYONE WILL GET IN ON THIS EVENT IN CENTRAL AND LOWER MICHIGAN!! If your asking what county this effect, everyone is in it. The storm threat dies down after the lost of daytime heating after 9 pm, this evening, however, the threat for heavy rainfall will continue through the overnight and into most of tomorrow before the weak boundary passes by. We should dry out by Tuesday Afternoon. Slightly cooler and much drier air mass will enter the picture for Wednesday and Thursday. Much cooler and drier conditions for next week with below average temperatures after a main cold frontal boundary passes by during the early half of next weekend. - Dave.
