TIP OF THE DAY: At your dogs annual vet visit, have your vet scan your dog for its microchip (if your dog does not have one, get one). Make sure its still easy to be found. Out of curiosity, we scanned one of our personal dogs who had been chipped as a puppy. If you didnt know, chips can migrate. And most good shelters and vets will run the scanner the length of the dog. But Tais is in his ARMPIT! Courtney found it. And it took quite a bit of work -- we normally wouldnt scan an armpit, but we will start now... MAKE SURE YOUR DOG CAN BE RETURNED TO YOU VIA ITS CHIP were it to get lost -- make sure your dog HAS a chip, make sure the chip is REGISTERED, and make sure you CHECK it periodically to make sure it hasnt migrated somewhere it likely wouldnt be found...
