TITLE CIVIL WORKS MAINTENANCE MANAGER (R435K pa) REPORTING TO EXECUTIVE: MAINTENANCE CLOSING DATE 20th JANUARY 2014 KEY RESPONIBILITIES: • To maintain the Operating Company’s assets and ensure the safety, quality and performance targets are achieved. To execute maintenance policy, standards and procedures and ensure reliable and safe infrastructure. To ensure seamless travel for our customers that is safe, reliable, comfortable and friendly. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: • Grade 12 • Degree in Civil Works • Registered with Engineering Council of South Africa as professional engineer and advantage • Drivers Licence (Code 08) • At least 5 -10 years relevant experience in Civil Maintenance INHERENT JOB REQUIREMENTS: • Managing high turnover of work, supervising multiple staff and contractors and emergency decision making required. • Sense of urgency and business commitment. • Positive attitude, drive and flexibility. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: • Update maintenance specifications and procedures. • Take proactive role on Site Project. • Ensure infrastructure is healthy and safe to operate. • Perform continuous improvement. • Perform minimum levels of downtimes. • Analyse obsolescence treatment. • Ensure each subcontractor submit their monthly reports on time and provide reports. • Enforce penalties when applicable. • Follow up and comment on subcontractors reporting and ensure audits and inspections are completed and recorded. • Manage team –hold weekly meetings and follow-up on action lists and minutes. • Implement actions / challenges within the agreed timelines. • Follow up on Maintenance divisional weekly meetings and challenges. • Perform/ensure staff perform maintenance or safety inspections.
