TITLE: JESUS IS IN THE BUSINESS OF BLESSING YOUR LIFE by Pastor Wilmer Dimacutac 09-08-2013 The etymology of "business" relates to the state of BEING BUSY either as an individual or society, as a whole, doing commercially viable and profitable work. John 10:10 (NKJV) 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10(AMP) 10 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows). Psalm 24:1 (NIV) 1 The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; Psalm 37:25-26 (NIV) 25 I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.26 They are always generous and lend freely; their children will be a blessing. Psalm 23:1-6(NIV) 1 The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,3 he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. 4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Psalm 23:1-6 (AMP) 1 The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack. 2 He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters. 3 He refreshes and restores my life (myself); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him—not for my earning it, but] for His name’s sake.4 Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me.5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my [brimming] cup runs over.6 Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord [and His presence] shall be my dwelling place. Proverbs 13:4(NLT) 4 Lazy people want much but get little, but those who work hard will prosper. Proverbs 10:4 (NIV) 4 Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth. Proverbs 6:6-8 (NLT) 6 Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and become wise! 7 Though they have no prince or governor or ruler to make them work, 8 they labor hard all summer, gathering food for the winter. Proverbs 11:25 (NIV1984) 25 A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed. Proverbs 11:25 (MSG) 25 The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed; those who help others are helped. Luke 6:38 (NIV1984) 38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Luke 6:38 (MSG) 37-38 “Don’t pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults—unless, of course, you want the same treatment. Don’t condemn those who are down; that hardness can boomerang. Be easy on people; you’ll find life a lot easier. Give away your life; you’ll find life given back, but not merely given back—given back with bonus and blessing. Giving, not getting, is the way. Generosity begets generosity.”
