TITLE: “YOU ARE THE SALT OF THE EARTH”( The Salvation of A Nation) MATTHEW 5:19 You are the salt of the earth. What do we use salt for? In Chris Embassy or as a Christian, we don’t come to church just because it’s our custom; we are being trained for eternity. Luke 22 : 28 – 31. · To be the salt of the earth; 1. You must have enough salt. When you have enough salt, you salt the land. You must be influential and your impact must be felt. Jesus didn’t die for us to form one progressive union in church. He saved us so that we can save others. We will salt the land till the whole nation is salted. Have you lost your savour? What is your savour? Savour means purpose. What is your passion? You need to ask yourself that question. · Define your passion. Your passion will show in the things you do and the kind of friends you keep. Don’t loose your passion. Passion is zeal. Inner cravings for the things of God. When you have a church in a place there is salt there. · 2 Corinthians 2: 14 as long as you are in Christ, you are a winner. Nobody can be against you and win. God cause us to triumph in Christ meaning we are His trophies. Through us God make manifest the savour {the smell, aroma, fragrance} of His knowledge at every place. · Say with me.” My tongue is anointed”. The more you talk about the Word, the more your tongue is sanctified. We are savour of life to those who are saved and savour of death to them that are not saved. Ezra 3: 10 -13. You are a life giving spirit. · Do people know that you are born again? Where are you in the Kingdom of God? You need to decide whether we are children or fathers. Can you remember how you get born again and how you were before you got born again? You are the salt of the earth. It’s not enough to bring your wife and children to church. The question is they influencing their environment? Are you influencing their lives? As the salt of the earth, you must change the Nation. In changing a Nation, · You must understand the history of the Nation. Are you a child in the house of God? A father remembers the foundation of the Nation and cries. When you pray for this city/ country do you cry? Luke 19: 28 – 35 · A Christian with savour prays with tears when praying for a Nation. Do you know what is happening in this land because of reach out? · There is judgement, mercy and faith. Pray for this Nation with passion. [zeal, inner craving for the Nation ] · Matthew 23: 23 We bring the righteousness of God to the land. Salt means the righteousness of God. · Savour means the righteousness of God working through you. · Judgement means introducing the righteousness of God into the land. Every Christian is a judge. Give your tithe but don’t omit judgement. · After judgement, you introduce mercy. . Mercy means bringing salvation to the unsaved.
