~"TITUS" TAKES HANCHEY TO THE PAY WINDOW~ SPANISH FORK, Utah – When Shane Hanchey did a little re-con before his first tie-down roping run on July 24 at the Spanish Fork Fiesta Days Rodeo he wasn’t exactly encouraged. It wasn’t just that his friend, Clint Robinson, had been 9.3 on the calf he’d drawn, but Bradley Bynum was on top of the leader board with a time of 15.2 seconds on two head. “You almost can’t shoot for that,” Hanchey said. “I mean that’s pretty darn quick. Clint just said not to worry about any of that … just go out and make the best run I could. Honestly, I was just hoping to win a check.” Riding Titus, the 12-year-old horse he bought from Tuf Cooper last fall, Hanchey did a great deal better than that, of course. He tied for second place in the first round with a time of 7.2 seconds and then backed that up by placing again in the second go with a 7.3-second run to bump Bynum down to second place and claim checks totaling $5,667 at this Wrangler Million Dollar Tour Silver Rodeo.
