TM20141201 TODAYS MESSAGE OLUWAMUYIWA OKUSEINDE : O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer (Psalms 31:23). Our God is faithful. You must have heard that before. In fact, His faithfulness is the reason why you are alive to read this particular message. It is only natural that the faithful God will love faithful people and delight to reward them for their faithfulness. There are many benefits that follow faithfulness. Let us consider three points in this regard. The Scriptures teach us that God defends the faithful. The example of Moses readily comes to mind here. Moses was the first person the Bible described as being faithful, and this commendation came from God almighty Himself. Because of Moses faithfulness, God defended him against all oppositions, including those that came from his siblings. You can read the story in Numbers 12:1-15. The Bible also says that God preserves and watches over the faithful (Psalms 31:23). God honours the faithful with divine familiarity. Observe how familiar God was with Moses because he was faithful (Numbers 12:7-8). Faithfulness put him in a class of his own in matters of relationship with God. God spoke with him in a very special way and granted him unique privileges because of his faithfulness. As for the unfaithful, the Bible says they are driven far away from God (Psalms 101:6). In much the same way, the unfaithful servant was taken out of his masters presence and cast into darkness (Matthew 25:30). Unassailable promotion is another blessing that God gives to the faithful. When you are faithful, God sees to it that you are rewarded even in the midst of your enemies. The faithful servants were promoted to higher offices (Matthew 25:21). In fact, according to Luke 19:17, it was a promotion that came with massive increase and expansion of their influence in the community. They had been faithful in matters of commerce. Now they were given political authority which they never sought after. In other to enjoy these and other blessings of faithfulness, you must be hard working and diligent at whatever task the Lord has set before you. Dont be like the slothful, unprofitable and unfaithful servant who buried his assignment under the cloak of laziness. Rather, be like the diligent, profitable and faithful ones who went to work immediately they got their assignments. ~ FURTHER BIBLE READING - NUMBERS 12:1-15. ~ Exercises. 1.
