TMS Wells To-Date Folks occasionally ask questions about the number of wells that have been drilled and/or that are producing. Easy question to ask. Not so easy to answer. But, Im going to give it my best effort. Here is a summary by county and parish of wells, to my knowledge, currently producing as of today in the Tuscaloosa Marine Shale play that were drilled since 2007. (Company names given are current producers whether that company originally drilled the well or not.) Amite County - 18 wells...ECA - 13, GDP - 5. Wilkinson County - 5 wells...ECA - 2, GDP - 2, HK - 1 Avoyelles Parish - 4 wells, all EOG West Feliciana - 2 wells, both GDP East Feliciana - 3 wells, all GDP St. Helena - 5 wells, ...ECA - 3, GDP - 2 Tangipahoa - 3 wells, all GDP In summary, thats 40 producing wells as of today. 18 EnCana, 17 Goodrich, 4 EOG, and 1 Halcon. Please note there are an additional 4 wells that were drilled and are not producing that arent counted, 2 EOG, 2 GDP. There are also an additional 15 wells in the process of being drilled and produced. So, thats a total of 59 wells that have been spudded, to the best of my knowledge. Im not sure if this will quench your thirst for knowledge on the subject of TMS drilled/producing wells or only arouse your curiosity further...we shall see! By the way, the largest producing well in the TMS to-date is the Encana Anderson 18H-1. The second largest, but not by far and brought in over 8 months later, is the Goodrich Crosby 12-1H-1. Discuss away!
