TNR help URGENTLY needed in the Far Rockaways!! There is a woman there who has desperately been trying to find help for months now - cats are dying, shelters are being thrown away, etc. Before anyone suggests that she become TNR certified, she knows how effective it is, but is unable to trap herself due to a disability - not because she doesnt want to nor because she doesnt understand the process. She is willing to PAY trappers, vet bills and anyone who can help her! On her behalf, I have tried reaching out to several groups - Alley Cat Allies, Neighborhood Cats, ASPCA, etc. and all have responded that there is no one available due to overwhelming need elsewhere and/or no one in the area. Both myself and another very kind lady are trying to find her help - we are unable to trap ourselves due to our location, lack of automobiles and work schedule, so please no responses about being cowards nor unwilling to TNR - that is not the case.
