TNR update Total of 33 free-roaming cats trapped, neutered and released in Bendersville! Thanks to our wonderful team of volunteers, councilman Dan Kuhn and Scott Howell, and Nobodys Cats Foundation we are making a difference in Bendersville. It is great to go out to track our target colony, and see tipped cats sitting in the sun. It is great to explore the barn that our volunteers spent an afternoon cleaning together. When we peek in the shelters that Scott Howell and his Biglerville Ag shop class built together we see imprints of little kitty bodies in the straw indicating that they have rested there on cold nights. We currently have two under the weather kitties in foster care & two kittens that were too young to spay. We also want to thank those who have been supporting us with building supplies, medical supplies, monetary donations and foster homes. This effort really does take a broad range of community support and each day we discover new areas to address. We will continue moving forward. It is going to take the whole community to fix the free roaming cat overpopulation in Adams County. Doing nothing and using ineffective approaches have resulted in the current overpopulation problem we have today. WE MUST DO SOMETHING!! IT’S TIME FOR A CHANGE and each one of us CAN make a contribution to a more compassionate world!! Anyone who would like to become involved, there is lots to be done! We need help with the Door hanging team, Trapping team, Staging team, Transport team, Cat return team, Foster team, Shelter/feeding station/litter box building team, & fundraising team. If you would like to become involved or if you are having a free roaming cat problem in your area, please send your contact information to Dr. Lisa Wolkind at [email protected]. If you would like to make a donation please visit our website at adamscountyspca.org. On behalf of the cats, thank you.
