TO ALL MY FACEBOOK FRIENDS AND CONCERNED PEOPLE REGARDING OUR HEALTHCARE. I normally dont voice my opinion on any blogs, logs, or otherwise, but I do have an issue I would like to share with all of you regarding your healthcare. I am currently insured with Wellcare and my treatment was denied by them for some trigger point injections I have been taking for the last year for a chronic condition I have. The insurance company denied the shots and I am in the process of an appeal with them. That seems simple enough to most of you out there and probably not that unusual because at one time or another you may have had to do that yourself to get the treatment or medicine you pay for, and even though the doctor says it is "medically necessary" you have the treatment, the insurance company takes it upon themselves to say you dont need it. MMMMMM, do you see something wrong with this? I got a letter in the mail today "Certified" from Dr. Todd Rosenthall, North Armenis Medical Center, 8004 N. Armenia Avenue, Tampa, Florida 3604 and he states in the letter that I have made numerous calls to his office regarding this matter and that I have disruped his office. (That to me takes a lot of nerve) for a doctor to take the time to write me a letter like this, so obviously he cant be that busy to take his precious time to dictate a letter like this and then on top of it send it "certified mail." to be absolutely sure that I signed for it and that I received it. I guess I have to assume that because I am 71 years old I have the mentality of a little baby and he baby talks me like I need to get a spanking here. I dont know what you people out there think of this but I sure would like to hear what you have to say about how doctors, insurance companies, and healthcare in general feel about the "I dont give a crap" about how you patients feel about anything I am here just to make money attitude that we are getting in this country. I am at times crippled up and bedridden because of the excruciating pain I go through and many times I walk with a walker or a cane just to get around and then I get treated this way by the healthcare system. How sad is that??? Thank you for listening.
