TO ALL MY FRIENDS THAT ARE PARENTS: Tonight I REALLY put my foot in it.!! A pair of parents that had reached out to me and said LET ME KNOW IF MY KIDS DO ANYTHING I SHOULD KNOW ABOUT. Well, in the spring, I caught their daughter TWERKING, SERIOUSLY TWERKING at the last dance of the year. I messaged mom via FB cause I didnt have a number. She never got back to me and I thought that was weird. A day or so later the girls brother let me know that she had gotten on to moms FB message and deleted the message I sent her mom. I confided in one of my superiors and he said that I should stay out of it, cause I would just lead to bad news for me. I saw the parents a few weeks ago at the post office and just didnt know how to approach the subject. I saw them at a scrimmage football game tonight and even admitted that I wouldnt have had the courage to say anything to them had I not had a margarita with dinner, but I though they should know that I had messaged them about . . The mom exploded at me that I was being loud and that she didnt appreciate me telling her something so private in such a public place. OKAY, I didnt choose the time or place well, but she told me to stop talking to her, she didnt want to discuss it, all she wanted to do was video her daughter cheering. ONCE AGAIN, my heart was in the right place, but I just didnt know how to handle the situation. WHY DO I CARE??????? ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE SO MUCH????????
