Charlotte Domingo, PIO (813) 974-2859 SUBJECT: Carjacking in USF Parking Lot 33 Tampa Campus: At approximately 9:20am on July 29, 2013, the University of South Florida Police Department received a report of a carjacking in Parking Lot 33 in the Health Sciences area of the Tampa Campus. The suspect is described as a white male wearing a white hoodie, possibly with brown hair and described as "dirty" looking. The suspect displayed a small black handgun and ordered victim out of her vehicle. There were no injuries. USF Police Officers responded to set up a perimeter. Cell phone tracking determined that the suspect and vehicle immediately moved off campus. Surrounding agencies were contacted and the Tampa Police Department aviation unit responded to assist in the search. A criminal investigation is currently in progress. Anyone with knowledge of the incident is asked to contact the USF Police Department at (813) 974-2628.
