PLEASE DONT LET THIS BOY DIE TOMORROW...GIVE HIM A CHANCE*ℒℴѵℯ *. ღ ☼♥¸.•´¸.•*´¨) ¸... Perhaps the name Moxie was given to our boy to give him some courage in his new situation. Joining us as a stray, Moxie is timid, needing some coaxing to come out of his kennel. Of course, I met him when he first came in, so understandably hes shy. We head for the backyard where he pees a river as soon as were outside, and then slowly surveys the area. In a pen, he explores, eventually comes to me when called, but seems to be a bit hand shy so I let him come to me on his terms. As a play group unfolds in the adjoining pen, and those dogs come over to the gate to meet Moxie his tail wags happily and his face breaks into a big smile. As our getting to know you time came to an end, Moxie jumped back into his kennel without fuss and settled down. He seems to be an awesome dog, and I look forward to spending more time with him, but mostly I look forward to seeing his tail wag as he goes home with a new family. Another volunteer writes: My heart melted when I first met Moxie, and its still in melt down mode. This handsome boy, while still shy, is more comfortable with us now, happy to come out of his kennel to take care of business and get some exercise. He let me put a coat on him as it was a chilly morning, and once outside peed a river. Still not a fan of being on a busy street, he shines in the backyard, chasing a tennis ball, wagging his tail as he explores and coming into my lap for some hugs and kisses. Hes gorgeous, has a wonderfully friendly and low key energy and is an absolute gem. Hell need a person or family who will understand his initial shyness and give him time to get comfortable in a new place. That patience will be rewarded 1000x times over as Moxie is one special dog, hoping to find his forever home today.
