Waiting for her owner’s legal issues to be resolved, she languished there; came down with the “shelter cold” and just kept wondering what was to happen to her. Now a pup like Karma wants to get out to run and play and just start learning all those grown up dog rules. Predictably, during her behavioral eval, Karma ran and jumped and tried to play. For that she got a New Hope rating. But more importantly, Karma got 1’s and 2’s on the resource guarding and the dog on dog items. ACC has now decided they don’t need to keep Karma any longer and she’s on tomorrow’s euthanasia list. What Karma needs tonight is a foster or adopter who is ready to run and play and do puppy things but who is also ready to teach this very willing girl all about being a good dog. If that’s you, then start applying to rescues for her. But do it right now—ACC won’t dally one minute tomorrow and Karma will have waited all that time to be saved for nothing.
