Sapphire is nervous in this new environment of bright lights, and loud noises. She welcomes me to her kennel, but is nervous stepping out and in the hallway so I carry her outside where she relaxes a bit. As we walked her tail comes up and starts to wag. I tried putting a coat on her but she wanted no part of it, preferring to brave the cold. Shes a bit too thin and her coat a bit too dry, but nothing that a loving home with good nutritious food wont fix. She sits for treats, and after figuring out quickly where my treat bag is, every time my hand went near it she sat. How smart is she! Posing for pictures like a pro, she keeps her soft eyes on mine, and of course on my treat hand! She takes them gently even though shes clearly hungry. Sapphire enjoys being petted although she is still a bit nervous with people and situations she doesnt know. Appropriately named, she is a GEM, unique, beautiful and once you meet her, totally sought after. Her sweet personality shines through in everything she does.
