TO: FIRST YEARS 2014/15 DEAR COMRADES, May I first take this opportunity to welcome all of you to this great university; THE University of Nairobi, university of choice. Your ability to secure a chance in this prestigious institution is a clear indication of your commitment, hard work and competencies. CONGRATULATIONS!! Secondly, It is my humble request and advice that as you pick up your studies, kindly remember that the sole purpose for which you came here was to excel with relevant knowledge, skills, social values and competencies. Please make this a reality by setting achievable objectives and dedicating yourself towards achieving the same. Let your hopes be higher than your fears and your actions louder than your words. Make changes not excesses. Be motivated not manipulated. Learn to excel not to compete. Be true to yourself and trust your God. Please avoid tribal hatred since we are united under the same tag: COMRADE. No tribal recognition are attached to this. Love one another as brothers and sisters with zero considerations to age, race, gender, political affiliations, skin color or height. Comrades Power is very emotional and please treat it with moderation, though when it is time to act we do it mercilessly and passionately. Last but not least, PRAYERS are indispensable. As a man of Science I wish to leave you with my Law which goes thus: The levels of academic performance are directly proportional to persistence, commitment and determination provided that discipline and prayers are kept constant.
