TO SOME POINT LET YOUR COMMON SENSE DICTATE YOUR DEEDS!!! #Observation by a concerned student: I followed him keenly, watched like a lost child and saw him wash hostel 4.instantly, I knew he was a worker there. “Where are the toilets?” I asked innocently. He pointed to the direction and as usual, a grin involuntarily and harmoniously glued my face. Then, shock hit me. I thought they were public toilets allocated in slums but I remembered this was a hostel in a much known institution, therefore I blamed the workers not the students. A few hours later, I visited the same hostel again. Terrible! It now extended to the bathrooms with tissue papers and stinking urine. I heard this beautiful lady say “Wah! Si leo hostel 6 ni safi kweli, hata bafu bado iko safi naeza kojolea!” I pitied. But I then realized this awful condition was common in all other hostels and still, I blamed the workers. Bt now; I blame you!I witnessed that woman working tirelessly, cleaning bathrooms and toilets, that man cleaning corridors and dustbins. They scrubbed the waste and urine, inaudibly complaining, “Hawa vijana wakubwa jameni, Mungu saidia”.Still I failed to know why she was grumbling. Shame on you! In the past thought that women reason when it comes to tidiness, men were never left out too. I thought only the blind needed guidance in whatever way. However, today as I speak out, SHAME ON YOU! I wonder why you never cease to be busy, you’re never free. I spotted you throwing litter through your window and yet the dustbin is right in your room. You have also been seen pouring dirty water through your window from the last floor in hostel6 and 7 without considering your neighbor staying floors below you. I saw you walk in a clean toilet which had just been cleaned, looked behind for whoever has seen you; bt nobody behind, u messed it up and left knowing that the workers will do their part. You were seenleaving your used pads in the bathroom doors and slobs in the hostels. Instead of carrying your bucket filled with water to the toilets in hostel 1,2,3, 4 or even hostel 6/7 or any other, you tend to be ignorant, mess everything up and still consider yourself gentle. You were seen urinating in the bathhrooms; block 10 is terrible becoz of the smell, yet u are calling urself an interlectual!!! You were heard saying that I ve taken food worth 30/=͵ 50/= 70/= or whatever cost at Diplomats or Sues place without paying i guess hawakunijua...Si uibe EQUITY/KCB/COOP than iyo pesa kidogo: assume upatikane na uchomwe, is ur live worth that much??? You have been spotted washing your muddy shoes or sandals in the sinks where all students use without draining the mud, You have been seen severaly pouring water and throwing litter in the sinks in the kitchenetes yet we have dustpins there, You have been heard saying, “I hate this Kabianga, it is not worth living as a Campus”, yet it is you who washes your utensils and pours wastes along corridors. I heard you say “Nisipochafua environment, mfanyikazi ata earn bure!” Use your eyes comrades. I blamed workers before, but I have crossed the bridge and blaming you. ONCE AGAIN I SAY SHAME ON YOU! #Lets behave like interlectuals...... You take it or u leave it.
