Tonight we saw democracy in action as the UNC selected Ms. Khadijah Ameen to represent the UNC as their choice to represent Chaguanas West, instead of The Honorable Jack Warner who has been their representative for over 10 years. The Honorable Jack Warner resigned because of allegations for which was the honorable thing to do and go back to the people for a mandate to be approved by the same 18.000 people who voted for him the last time. Instead the UNC canvassed a young lady, who in my opinion cannot stand up to the opposiution and who is not as loved as JW, the Honorable. The Honorable Prime Minister, Ms. Kala Persad-Bissessar, said that there would be only a 2 term Prime Minister from now on when she won as a coalition government, which makes me ask these two questions! What role did the MSJ and Top played as part of the coalition in the decision to select Ms. Khadijah and not the Honorable Jack Warner?
