TODAY: Calling all juniors (or students otherwise one year away from graduation) with 3.5+ GPA who want to make a difference through a career in public service and pursue a graduate degree linked to these goals... Truman Scholarship Info Session Monday, 11/4 3:30pm in Lippitt 303 The Truman Scholarship is a competitive national fellowship that supports young leaders who intend to pursue careers in public service. In addition to receiving a $30,000 scholarship for graduate school, Truman Scholars attend a leadership week and a summer institute, where they explore pressing policy and public service concerns as well develop connections and learn from each other. Scholars are also connected to opportunities to work in public service through the federal government or national nonprofit organizations. The Truman requires institutional nomination, a process coordinated by the URI University Honors Program.
