TODAY I have to reach out to all my friends, so I have to use English. As I woke up this morning, the first thing that caught my eyes was my favourite writer´s last book, POLITI. In that very moment it occured to me that Heaven must be a place where the library is open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. However, it is not any heavenily future many politicians are threatening the electorate with if they don´t vote for their party- like FRP. During the ongoing election campaign, too many politicians and common people alike, have put across a view on people from other cultures that is degrading. If that is the case that all people are not equal, whereabout on the scale are you ? And in world of love and hatred, I believe in love as the strongest force. That make me think about Martin Luther King whose words are just as timely today as they were decades ago: " I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal." And further: "We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. We must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. Again and again we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force." His opponents killed Martin Luther King for his struggle for equality. The mass-murderer, Anders Behring Breivik, killed over 70 young people and children, ethnic Norwegians and people with multi-cultural background alike, because they believed in equality for all people. Many Norwegians support his hateful ideas. They are organised in parties like DEMOKRATENE, in anti-Muslim organisations like SIAN and Norwegian Defence League, Vigrid, Norsk Kultur, Norgespartiet and net-pages like Human Rights Service, Dokument. no, Honest Thinking- just to mention a few, not to forget quite a few extremist Norwegians being very active in net-debates and who claim to vote FRP. We have not succeeded to reach Martin Luther King´s vision, but the good news is that the great majority of us believe that the only way to achieve peace, stability and prosperity is to realize and practice that every individual from every corner of the world are equals. And being yet e new beautiful day in Montenegro, I will share some good news with all of you. Have a great day
