TODAY IN HIPHOP: On this day in 2003, Outkast release their fifth album, Speakerboxxx/The Love Below. The Southern duos double album was an obvious journey into the individual and creative complexions of both Big Boi and Andre3000. Only three of the thirty-nine tracks features the vocals of both MCs together. Also, the unusual packaging (double LP) featured both ATLiens but separately. Since its release, the dynamic duo have taken a hiatus from one another. Finally, the LP featured two #1 hits with Hey Ya!, and The Way You Move. Not to mention, Speakerboxx/The Love Below won a total of 3 Grammies, Album of Year, Best Rap Album, and Best Urban Performance.
