TODAY IN HISTORY.......21st Nov 1914,My late father Chief Olagunju Idowu Asaolu Fafowora was born. He would have turned 100yrs old today, there would have been a big birthday party for him in the city of ILESA surrounded by children,grandchildren,great-grandchildren,relatives and loved ones,i would have rendered a nice birthday song to a loving father. A father in a million,a father i kept talking about years after his death,no day passed by without talking/thinking about you,i apply your words of wisdom all the time,a father i hold so dear to my heart.BABA MI,you are unquantifiable and unforgettable, you stood for so many things,a family man to the core, you harbored no hatred towards anybody,a role model, confidant, friend, disciplinarian and mentor who believed in unity,no discrimination in my fathers dictionary,he doesnt believe in eye service,no pretense,he doesnt worship money,so contented with what he had,he would not play an angel outside and act a demon inside. He was a friend to all and sundry,a magistrate that was not biased,he believed in fair justice,a jovial, happy man, always happy.A man that valued time,he will never be late to any event, very organized, punctuality meant a lot to him,he panned ahead, nothing ever caught him unaware. He took responsibilities, very frank and firm,he didnt spare the rod to spoil the child, when he said something,he meant it.A lover of church music, always singing/humming from one tune of song to the other instead of feeling depressed or worried,he would rather go on his piano to play or his typewriter to type the same document over again.A very versatile man. am so proud to be among the fruits of your loins,a father who can proudly say his children should emulate him.I know you were joyfully received in heaven when you left here.I celebrate you today as always,i want you to know NOBODY has been able to fill the vacuum you left behind,i believe we ll surely meet again on the resurrection morning, may perpetual light continue to shine upon you and may you continue to rest in peace. With tears in my eyes,i say HAPPY POSTHUMOUS BIRTHDAY TO MY FATHER.Omo olugbo, moroosogun, omo ajisomo ki yeye re maa seru, omo okuta roguro lode ijimo, osii tekure ke mo lala, ala baba mi e ninu oke,omo Aogo Ija ti nro gbongangbongan,SUN UN RE OOO.
