In 1967—The soundtrack to ‘The Sound Of Music’ is at No. 1 on the album chart, its 132nd week on the chart. The Beatles are at No. 2 with ‘Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band’ and Scott Walker is at No. 3 with his first solo album, ‘Scott’. In 1974—Bachman Turner Overdrive are at No.1 on the US album chart with Not Fragile. In 1985—A-Ha are at No.1 on the Billboard singles chart with ‘Take On Me’, making them the first Norwegian group to score a US No.1. In 1994—During a sold out Pink Floyd show at London’s Earls Court a section of seating holding over 1,000 fans collapses, though these are no serious injuries. In 2000—A judge rules that Robbie Williams had substantially copied lyrics for his song ‘Jesus Was A Camper Van’ from the 1961 Woody Guthrie song ‘I Am The Way’, and also used parts of a parody by Loudon Wanwright III.
