In 1970—Jimi Hendrix makes his final live appearance at the Isle Of Fehmarn in Germany. The guitarist dies in London 12 days later. In 1975—Glen Campbell starts a two-week run on top of the American singles chart with ‘Rhinestone Cowboy’, his first No.1 after 13 US top 40 hits. In 1990—Tom Fogerty, guitarist with Creedence Clearwater Revival, dies at age 49, due to complications from AIDS acquired during a blood transfusion.
