Another Fun Event at the ColorWheel Inspired by the book "Peace Fibres: Stitching a Soulful World" Authors, Karen Lohn & Catherine Zdechlik will be speaking about & reading from the book thru out the day. You can join them in braiding "Scarves of Peace" (bring a 5 yard length of any fibre... yarn, string, strips (1/4 inch wide) of fabric, ribbon, etc.) (The completed scarves will go to anyone who needs warmth, beauty, connection, peace in their lives.) We will also, be featuring "Pottery for the Soul" created by Waltraud (Traudi) Pawlowski Setz, Ask Kim Christensen about Peace Fleece & fair trade sourcing of animal fibers while she spins her plant dyed fibers on her wheel & Cheri Meyer will be demonstrating her off loom, free form peyote stitch bead weaving. working with colorful seed beads, meaningful stones, metal, fiber, found & handmade objects. Plus, crocheted metal wire bracelets & earrings embellished with fresh water pearls & Czech glass created by Paulina Jacobsson, Jewelry by Cathy Murphy & more fun art & accessories by many other fiber, textile artists. And.. for you crafty artists, there will be lots of new, recycled, vintage, retro fabrics, textiles & jewelry making supplies at great prices available that day!
