Martin with the t-man Roger Munn and expert navigator Frank Guertin aboard the 40 Cigarette MerCruiser powered Bounty Hunter hazel coloured preceded by one minute 36 Cigarette Blonde III of Roger Hanks and by three minutes the other hazelnut hull, 36 Cigarette Slap Shot of Art Norris completing the podium of boats of Aronow. 1974 - Bonomi won for the second time in Cowes for the fourteenth edition of the CTC, his seventeenth victory, the sixth in the season and second in six days on his 36’ Dry Martini powered Kiekhaefer and carrying the usual Powers and the young local navigator Dag Pike. Shead did it in record speed, 72,9mph to beat tough rivals such as the Brazilian Franz and the reigning champion Bonomi that they rode with the Kiekhaefers like his and who arrived at 1 and 4 of vantage respectively. 1982 - Della Valle wins the second round of the World Championship at Poole yet after the previous two days earlier for the Needles Trophy and already puts a hand on Sam Griffith Trophy. The fourth and final edition of Poole Bay Classic marks the seventh win in career total of twenty-six, the fourth of the season and third in a row in just nine days for the Milanese. who had to fight with the tough local hero Ted Toleman with the t-man Smith in his 38 Bertram. Della Valle Rossi was aboard of his 38 CUV “Ego-Rothmans powered MerCruiser. 1986 - Giovanna Repossi-Spelta is the second woman pilot, after Betty Cook in 1978, to mark his name in the prestigious Hall of Fame of the Cowes-Torquay-Cowes, now in its twenty-sixth edition, resulting in his third seasonal and final victory in her career. Always by the side of her husband Angelo Spelta and Alberto Diridoni, Giovanna in 1986 went to the guidance of their usual 38 CUV “Nooxy-Fresh & Clean of 1984, powered by a pair of Isotta Fraschini turbo diesel. Giovanna checked out the local drivers but mainly on the various countrymen Buzzi, with Bylock, Casiraghi, Bruno Abbate and the Della Valle recordman with four wins in the race. 1986 - Ben Kramer won his third and final race of his career, second of the season,off Traverse Bay on Lake Michigan for the fourth and final edition of the Nothport 200. Kramer, who two years earlier had won the World Cup for the APBA Open 1 ran with his one-off wooden cat 41 Maelstrom-Apache powered by two 8V Keith Eickert -Apache together with the usual Bob Saccenti as t-man, that the next game will suffer damage almost fatal due to a threaded into a wave with the same cat.
