TODAYS INVOCATION: Gracious God, we are people of many distractions, pulled in different directions, responding to many needs. We thank you for the gift of worship; for a space and time to set aside everything that tugs at us. Help us to focus our hearts and minds on you. Draw us more deeply unto your presence. Grant us rest as we rely on your care for us, and faith as we trust in your grace. Quiet our souls so that we may hear your Holy Spirit speaking to us. In Jesus name we pray. Amen Today was the first Sunday of Advent, the Earnshaws light the first candle today, Each week we will light a different candle, building up to the celebration the final candle, symbolizing the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Gloria Gingrich will light the 2nd candle; The Harwicks the third candle; Lynn Field the fourth candle and the Hackman family will light the candles on Christmas Eve.
