TODAY’S FRESH BREAD (JESUS, YOUR ANOINTING) Psalm 23:5 Thou - TopicsExpress

TODAY’S FRESH BREAD (JESUS, YOUR ANOINTING) Psalm 23:5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. There was one thing about the Jewish shepherds that will interest you. There was a particular kind of flies that were parasite to the flock. They were dangerous to the health of the sheep. Therefore, every shepherd carried a bottle of oil that he will smear the sheep with. The smell of the oil and the slippery nature of it prevented the flies from settling on the sheep. Every sheep was smeared with oil. Literally, to anoint is to smear or rub with oil. Biblically, anointing is the power of God that comes upon a person to do extraordinary things. Under the Old Covenant, special people were anointed for special purposes. The anointing manifested only when God wanted to do something. This is not so in the New Covenant of Grace. You Good Shepherd (Jesus Christ) laid down His life for you so that you will be anointed. Jesus Christ is your anointing. If you have Jesus, you have the anointing. God has made Jesus power (anointing) unto us (1Cor 1:24). Under the Old Covenant, one person could be anointed than the other. But under the New Covenant, it is not so. We have the same amount of the Holy Spirit in us. We all that believe in Christ have fullness of God dwelling in us. That is the anointing, God dwelling in you. The very time you were saved, the Holy Spirit came to dwell in you forever. He is the Spirit of Christ, He is the anointing of God. As Christ is made to look as beautiful as He is, you grow in the anointing. When Christ is made to look beautiful and loving, the Holy Spirit moves to work. When the Grace of Christ is the center of the message, healing and miracles flow freely for He is the power of God unto us. Do you have Christ? Then beloved, you are so anointed. There is no Christian more anointed than you or less anointed than you. Quit seeing yourself as less anointed; that is pride (feeling that, if you could do what others do, you can earn more anointing). Quit seeing yourself as more anointed than others; that is pride too (feeling that you earned your anointing). It is by Grace. Beloved, “As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit — just as it has taught you, remain in him” 1John 2:27. This is what the Bible says about you, “But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth” 1John 2:20. See yourself as God sees you. God sees you anointed with all His anointing (His fullness), do not see yourself less or more. You are anointed with Christ to heal the sick, to raise the dead, to be the best in your company, to be the best student in class, to be excellent with your talent, to be the best husband or wife that anyone can has. This is not because you do anything to earn it. It is because Your Good Shepherd laid down His life for you….. Good Morning
