TODAY’S MANNA. Romans 13:7-8. Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor. Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law. ### This scripture portion clearly states our responsibilities towards the authorities and fellow beings. Word of God clearly says “Give and it shall be given to you”. As a child of God we are to be regular and accurate in paying taxes, revenues due to the Government. Respect the Government. Honour those who deserve it. Being children of God, we are duty bound to pay the taxes and dues, in full. While tax savings within the given rules are not sin, tax evasion is sin. So we are not expected to be tax-evaders. Taxes, Revenues and honour can be paid up. Love is one thing that we owe to our fellow-beings that can never be paid up, because we have received such a great amount Divine Love that surpasses all human limitations. So we shall and will always be indebted to others with love. Do not withhold anything that is due to others. Also, we are duty bound to give what is due unto God, too. Over and above all these, let us love one another, because love covers over a multitude of sins.
