TODAY’S NOTABLE TEXAN KATHRYN GRANT CROSBY For MAY 31st 2014 Kathryn Grant Crosby - Actress and Widow of actor/singer Bing Crosby was born Olive Kathryn Grandstaff in Houston, Texas in 1933. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1955. Two years later she became Bing Crosbys second wife, being more than thirty years his junior. The couple had three children, Harry, Mary Frances, and Nathaniel. She appeared as a guest star on her husbands 1964–1965 ABC sitcom The Bing Crosby Show.She largely retired after their marriage, but did have a featured role in the notable courtroom drama Anatomy of a Murder (1959). Regarding her marriage to Bing Crosby she was quoted as saying: “He was a pretty cute kid, when it came to convincing a girl that she really wanted to stay home and scrub floors. He failed to ever realize that he was a male chauvinist pig, but he was a lovable one!“
