A NEW Acoustic Show hosted by LUIS OLIART luisoliart Luis Oliart is a singer/songwriter/guitarist/producer/teacher from Southern California. His sound blends the influences of funk, rock, blues, reggae and Latin, producing music that is fresh and full of energy. Oliart has tagged this new genre Alternative Soul, and he has brought this unique sound to such well-known venues as BB King’s, CBGB, Hard Rock Cafe, House of Blues, Key Club, Knitting Factory, The Bitter End, Troubadour, and even Carnegie Hall. In addition to performing all throughout the US, Luis has performed in Vancouver, Toronto, Thailand, Spain, France, Germany and Denmark. Our special guests for the evening: The sensational: Nura Creitz nuracreitz An amazing artist you will fall in love with!!! Nura Creitz performs from the heart. She enjoys creating a playful environment, making a performance into a conversation with her fellow musicians. Her sultry voice taps in to a song’s lyrics and crafts its story with music. Initially trained in classical voice at the Conservatory of Luxembourg, she pursued her studies at Berklee College of Music to explore jazz and contemporary music. Currently living in Los Angeles, she continues to connect with the local music community and audiences through her non-profit work and performances. Also appearing: Alex Hughes alexhughes.net Alex, a guitarist, vocalist, music director and music educator originally from Sydney Australia. I have degrees from the Australian Institute of Music, and the Musicians Institute in Hollywood. Whilst at MI, I received the Carvin Scholarship, as well as being a runner up for “The Stanley Clarke Scholarship.” My career started in Sydney, leading to me playing for three years with “Dirty Deeds: The AC/DC Tribute.” I have also played over 200 solo acoustic shows across Australia since 2010. I currently play for several projects in LA, the most prominent being Five and Dime Band at Disney California Adventure, Porter Lori, Universal All Access Band and Hughes and Havick. In addition to these I have played with and for such artists as UltraLove, Lissa Lauria, Valerie Ponzio, Vinyl Playlist, Leah King, Doug Showalter, Joel Van Dijk, Lana Shea, Raihanna Estrada, Elsa Gernandt, Dwight Kennedy Music, and many others. We welcome all artist to come join in creating this platform of great music and a great evening of entertainment! Come join us as we venture into the world of acoustic sounds and vibes, as well as many artists to join in on these very creative nights bi-monthly.
