TONY CHUKS OBUHS CANDIDACY WIIL BOOST PDP ELECTION RETURNS. ..... A survey by a political analyst indicates Following the consultation visits by Sir Tony Obuh to PDP leaders and the party faithfuls in the 25 Local Govt Areas of the State and the deliverance of his CONVENANT MESSAGE to Delta people. OBUH-PHOBIA wind has swept through all the nooks and crannies of the state. The peoples hope and faith in government has been reinvigorated and renewed. A political analyst Dr Emmannuel Opia, who had monitored, observed the behaviours of the electorates, worked in election coalitions and reports from governorship to presidential elections in Delta State since 1999 opined thatTony Obuh entrance into the governorship race has changed the tempo of Delta State politics and predicted that there will be a massive voters turnout during the forthcoming general elections if Tony Obuh is fielded by the PDP. He hinged his predictions on the survey he conducted using the following OBUH-PHOBIA indexes. 1. HARMONY WITHIN PDP FAMILY 2. LABOUR AND TRADE UNION FACTORS 3. INTERESTS OF LOCAL BANKS 4. GLOBAL CORPORATE BODIES 5. REINVIGORATION OF THE ELECTORATES 6. HIGH NUMBERS OF PRO-TONY OBUH GROUPS, ON GROUND AND ONLINE Expantiating further on the above points he explains thus: HARMONY WITHIN PDP FAMILY He stated that there had been different interest groups in the party in parts of the LGAs across the state but that all has now collapsed into one solid body because of Sir Tony Obuhs message of ALL INCLUSIVE GOVERNMENT. He opined that this harmony will translate to huge electoral successes for the party at the polls. LABOUR AND TRABE UNION FACTORS. On this point Dr E Opia stated that there is no doubt that civil and public servants in Delta State will mobilise massive votes for Tony among themselves, Labour and Trade Union affiliates in the state like NURTW, NUT, NUPENG, KEKE AND BIKE OPERATORS, TRADERS UNIONS. ETC ETC. He cited the recent solidarity visit of public Servants in the state under the umbrella of DE DOVE to Tony Obuh as signs of workers support for his candidacy and added that the development was expected as Tony Obuh had hitheto been part and parcel of them, understands their conditions and most likely to listen to their complains. RENEWED HOPE AND FAITH AMONG THE ELECTORATES. On this point, he stated that the entrance of a TECHNOCRAT into the guber race has recandled the hope of THE ORDINARY ELECTORATES in the state on elections and that VOTERS as it were before now, were fedup with the old politicians and their lies, but are now over enthusiastic to exercise their franchise due to their hope in Tony Obuhs ability to deliver the goods, and added that reports from INEC has shown a record number of voters flooding to their offices across the state to get voters cards, this was unlike before where voters had to be forced to do so, INTERESTS OF LOCAL BANKS. On this issue he Stated that Financial institutions, especially Micro-Finance Banks in the State are favourable to Sir Tony Obuhs candidacy because he has been known to be a prudent man that can keep the economy of the state strong and vibrant and that as one of the architects of the DELTA STATE MICRO-CREDIT PROGRAMME, which had boosted the rural economy of Delta State, Tony is certain to drive it home safely. GLOBAL CORPORATE BODIES He pointed out that Corporate bodies who are part of the global economy have also shown interest in Tony Obuh project. There is massive support of the industry captains who sees Tony Obuh as a good stablizer to whatever capital investment they would create in the state. Delta State economic fortune will be given the greatest boosts which will encourage World Bank, UNDP, UNIDO and other development and bilateral institutions such FAO and ADB. Food Processing company and value chains would be encouraged to set up processing facilities to maximize the numerous and growing potentials in agriculture and other opportunities abound in Delta State driven by the DELTA BEYOND OIL PROGRAMME. Dr Opia stated that he was overwhelmed by the high numbers of pro-Obuh Facebook groups and that as at the last count he made, he was able to record about 100+ of such groups and that the groups keep growing eveyday. Continuing, he stated that he had scan all the FB groups and that he is yet to find any other aspirants with more than 2 or 3 pro FB groups. Further, he said if you equate this huge number of online groups with the solidarity visits by different groups which Tony Obuh recieves daily, you will no doubt agreed that SOMETHING MARVELOUS will happen to the Delta State PDP through Tony Obuh if he gets the partys ticket, In conclusion. Dr E. Opia urged his fellow PDP delegates to the partys primary to cast their votes for Tony Obuh to enable the party harvest the huge votes of Deltans which the OBUH-PHOBIA wind will bring to the party.
